Contains beneficial Bacillus bacteria for cleaning freshwater and marine aquariums. Naturally decomposes organic waste from fish and plants. Prevents silt accumulation in the substrate, controls algae growth, and eliminates unpleasant water odors.
What happens when there is excess organic matter in the aquarium?
In nature, bacteria and algae feed on organic matter, competing for it. The same occurs in aquariums. Excessive organic matter encourages algae growth. However, in aquariums with bacteria that compete with algae for organic matter, algae growth is usually suppressed, keeping the aquarium clean for years.
How to recognize excess organic matter in an aquarium?
Difference between liquid Biostarter and Biostarter Renewer tablets from AQUAYER.
Biostarter Renewer tablets are designed for mature and old aquariums where organic matter accumulates over time, helping to naturally renew the aquarium's biobalance. Liquid Biostarter, on the other hand, aids in the maturation and establishment of biobalance in new aquariums by reducing ammonium and nitrite concentrations, allowing fish to be introduced in the first days after filling with water.
The composition includes bacteria of the genus Bacillus. Keep dry at temperature below 30 °C. Shelf life - 2 years.
Directions
We recommend placing the tablets into the aquarium filter, as this is where organic matter is filtered and accumulates. Use 1 tablet per 50 liters of water. In the filter, the bacteria will thrive because they have ample nutrients and oxygen-rich water. Replace the tablets (which are insoluble) every three months when cleaning the filter. If there is a high accumulation of organic matter, replace the tablets monthly along with filter cleaning.
You can also place the tablets in the substrate, where organic matter accumulates as well. However, the effect will be slower but longer-lasting. If placing the tablets in the substrate, use three times the amount compared to the filter and add new tablets less frequently, about 1-2 times a year.
